Michael Porvaznik, DO

Michael Porvaznik, DO graduated with honors from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983. He was the recipient of The Osteopathic Heritage Award which is an honor given to one student in each graduating class for demonstrating outstanding skill in osteopathic manipulative medicine. Dr. Porvaznik has actively served on the Board of Directors of The Osteopathic Cranial Academy. He has been the Director of The Cranial Academy‘s renowned 40-hour Introductory Cranial Course for physicians since June of 2005. He teaches the principles and practice of osteopathic manipulative medicine to physicians, dentists and medical students across the United States and Europe. His interested in the “whole person,” not just their presenting symptoms.

Cathy Holway, DPT

Cathy Holway, DPT is an internationally recognized physical therapist, educator and author in the healthcare field ofintegrative manual therapies. She received her BS and certificate in Physical Therapy from Russell Sage College/Albany Medical College School of Physical Therapy, Troy, NY, in 1979. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Boston University in 2008.Upon completion of her doctoral studies in 2008, she founded The Neurovascular Institute, Inc., to provide science-based medical education that is immediately applicable to clinical practice and fosters professional growth and integrity of licensed medical professionals. Dr. Holway continues to integrate clinical work with research, development and instruction in Neurovascular Integration.

Kevin Boyd, DDS, M.Sc.

Kevin Boyd, DDS, M.Sc. is a board-certified pediatric dentist practicing in Chicago. He is also an attending instructor in the residency-training program in Pediatric Dentistry at Lurie Children’s Hospital where he additionally serves as chief dental consultant to the Lurien Sleep Medicine Service.

Martin Katz, MD

Martin Katz, MD graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina, he is board certified in Family Medicine, and Sports Medicine. A primary focus for Dr. Katz is promoting health and disease prevention with an anti-inflammatory plant based diet.

Jennifer Flage Hobson, DPT

Jennifer Flage Hobson, DPT is Owner/Director at Hobson Institute and Physical Therapy Renaissance in Chicago.She studied Manual Therapy and Cranial Facial at Hogeschool van Amsterdam and the University of St. Augustine where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in Cranial Facial Treatment. Dr. Hobson will discuss the manual manipulation of the TMJ and the significance of cervical vertebrae position on the airway.

Patrick McKeown

Patrick McKeown is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin. In 2002, Patrick McKeown was accredited as a Buteyko breathing practitioner by the late Professor Konstantin Buteyko. Having suffered from asthma, rhinitis and sleep-disordered breathing for over 20 years, Patrick is able to offer both theoretical knowledge and his own experiences to help clients to overcome similar challenges. To date, Patrick has written seven books, most recently The Oxygen Advantage.

Valerie Sinkus, DPT

Valerie Sinkus, DPT is a graduated from the University of Southern California Physical Therapy School in 1975. Inthese 40+ years as a PT, her focus has been on the restoration of function and improvement in quality of life for herpatients. This journey has included extensive training in many manual therapy techniques and exercise approacheswith a neuroscience basis. She has been a practicing craniosacral therapist for 20 years, with specialized training inpediatrics and obstetrics. And she is also a certified fascial manipulation. therapist.
